The Fishers Island Conservancy is a nonprofit group that partners with Fishers Island residents, businesses, non-profit organizations and the government to preserve, enrich and enhance the natural resources of Fishers Island and its surrounding waters. We manage and fund several conservation initiatives, ranging from the non-toxic Mosquito Control Program to Nature Days.
Encourages proper stewardship of park natural resources, fosters cooperative and mutual communication between the National Park Service, communities and user groups, and promotes environmentally sound access to all of the various aspects of Fire Island National Seashore.
Working to preserve, protect and restore the ecological integrity and productivity of the Oyster Bay/ Cold Spring Harbor estuary and the surrounding estuary –i.e. to keep the oyster in Oyster Bay.
