Blue Frontier Campaign president David Helvarg had an op-ed recently published in the L.A. Times. In the article he discusses the turbulent history that desalination has had in the US and particularly California. He talks about the potential of desalination as a drought solution, but cautions that it needs to be developed correctly if it is to be a lasting solution.
