The Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History is dedicated to inspiring curiosity, discovery, and learning about the natural world through its unparalleled research, collections, exhibitions, and education outreach programs. The museum will include an Ocean Hall starting in September of 2008 to complement its Ocean Initiative, which brings together a host of leading marine organizations to build public understanding about the importance of oceans to all life.
