TCS is the conservation conscience of Ketchikan and all of Southeast Alaska. In the heart of the Tongass, Ketchikan is home to an activist timber industry. The Tongass Conservation Society is dedicated to conserving the bio-diversity of the many island forests of the Tongass through protection of habitat from the pressures of industrial exploitation.
